The organization is dedicated to the restoration of broken communities – offering support, prayer, outreach and training to the public, built on the foundation of God’s Word.

The word “Genesis” in the name of our Foundation describes the old and the new life. It summarizes who we were originally created to be, but how sin came to corrupt our original blue-print and identity. Through-out Genesis we see God reveal His promises of restoration through His Son Jesus Christ. He came to restore our identity by the help of the Holy Spirit, who helps shape us into a new Creation through Christ.

The word “Foundation” fits nicely as it represents three realities for us:

  • Jesus Christ is the Word, and He is our foundation in this initiative.
  • We understand that a person’s basic foundation in their lives is important, as it brings stability, growth and empowerment.
  • This is a Foundation as a whole, with a mission to reach out, care and help grow the community and the globe, to a healthier state.

Our Foundation may be related to a person’s new beginning of transformation, but it also leads to the true Revelation of Jesus Christ in the rest of their walk with Him. The Holy Spirit was present before our salvation, He was present when we got saved, and He remains with us forever.

Scriptures the Foundation is built on

2 Corinthians 6:3-4; 6:6-8 (NLT):

We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love.

We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defence. We serve God whether people honour us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us.

2 Corinthians 5: 16-18 (NLT):

So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view! How different we know him now!

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.

Proverbs 3:6 (NLT):

“In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”

Revelation 21:5 (NKJV):

“Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold I make all things new’.”
